Who doesn't love a good Snickerdoodle?  We can't think of anyone.  This is our favorite, no fail recipe.

Instructions
 

  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 teaspoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • In a large mixing bowl cream at medium speed butter, sugar and eggs until light and fluffy.
  • In a separate bowl, combine flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt.
  • Add to creamed mixture until well blended. Refrigerate dough 30 minutes.
  • Combine the sugar and cinnamon.
  • Form dough into small balls and roll in sugar-cinnamon mixture.
  • Place 2 inches apart on baking sheet.
  • Bake about 10 minutes or until golden brown on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Remove and cool on rack.
  • Cook for 8 to 10 minutes
