Ingredients
  

  • 1 head cabbage chopped
  • 2 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 white onion chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 pound ground beef
  • 1 can tomato sauce 29 ounce
  • 1 can chopped tomatoes 14.5-oz. (optional)
  • 1 cup white rice
  • 2 14 ounce cans chicken broth low sodium

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • In a large skillet, brown ground beef in olive oil over until pink is gone. Drain fat.
  • In a large mixing bowl combine the onion, garlic tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, cabbage, uncooked rice, salt and pepper.
  • Add ground beef and mix all together. Pour mixture into a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Pour broth over mixture and bake, covered with foil, for 1 hour.
  • Stir, cover and bake for an additional 30 minutes, or until rice is soft

Notes
