Oven Roasted Garlic

Roasting garlic brings out its incredible flavor. Spread on your favorite crusty bread.

2 garlic heads

1 tbls olive oil

A dash of salt, black pepper


1Slice off the tops (just a little to expose the top of the cloves) of the garlic heads with a serrated knife.

2Put the garlic heads on a piece of aluminum foil. Drizzle olive oil over the cut side of the garlic.

3Sprinkle each garlic head with salt and black pepper.

4Wrap up the garlic heads in the foil, creating a pouch, completely enclosing them.

5Put the garlic pouch in the oven and cook for about an hour. You can tell that the garlic is done when it begins to soften and turns brown.

6Remove the garlic pouch from the oven and let cool.

7To remove the garlic from the skin, squeeze each garlic head from the the root base.
