Chewy Chocolate Chip/Peanut Butter Cookies

These cookies will thrill all those chocolate/peanut butter fans out there.

  • Yields: 20 to 24


1/2 cup softened butter, softened

1/2 cup peanut butter (creamy or crunchy)

1/2 cup white sugar

1 cup packed brown sugar

2 large eggs

2 tbls corn syrup (light)

2 tsp water

2 tsp vanilla extract

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 tsp salt

1 tsp baking soda

2 cups semisweet chocolate (chopped)


1Preheat oven to 375 degrees

2In a good sized bowl, cream together the peanut butter, butter, white sugar and brown sugar until smooth.

3Using a beater, beat in the eggs one at a time.

4Stir in the water, vanilla and corn syrup.

5In a separate bowl combine the flour, salt and baking soda and stir into the creamed mixture.

6Fold in chopped chocolate chips.

7Drop by good sized spoonfuls (about 1/4 cup) onto ungreased baking sheets, 3 inches apart.

8Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in preheated oven, or until edges are a golden/light brown.

9Let cookies to cool for 1 minute before removing from the cookie sheeting and placing them on wire racks to cool.

You can use mini-chocolate chips instead of regular sized.
