Great recipe for cabbage - healthy and flavorful.
1⁄2 head cabbage, chopped
1 carrot, shredded sliced thin or shredded
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1⁄2 onion, chopped
1⁄2 teaspoon fresh ginger chopped
1⁄8 teaspoon black pepper
1⁄2 teaspoon salt
1⁄2 teaspoon white or apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat
2Add onion and cook until translucent/soft
3Add ginger and garlic, cook for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring frequently
4Add carrots, cabbage, salt and pepper.
5Cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally
6Add vinegar and stir to combine
7Remove from heat
8Serve and enjoy
If you prefer cabbage to be softer add 1/4 chicken or vegetable stock, and cook until it is the texture that you desire.
