Snickerdoodles

Who doesn't love a good Snickerdoodle? We can't think of anyone. This is our favorite, no fail recipe.

2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 teaspoons sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large mixing bowl cream at medium speed butter, sugar and eggs until light and fluffy.
In a separate bowl, combine flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt.
Add to creamed mixture until well blended. Refrigerate dough 30 minutes.
Combine the sugar and cinnamon.
Form dough into small balls and roll in sugar-cinnamon mixture.
Place 2 inches apart on baking sheet.
Bake about 10 minutes or until golden brown on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Remove and cool on rack.
Cook for 8 to 10 minutes
