Jazz Up Water with These Healthy Additions
A Splash of Juice
Splash some fruit juice in your water, like tart cranberry juice (straight cranberry juice of possible). Pomegranate, grape, and apple, are especially delicious. Fruits and their juices not only taste good, they contain vitamins and antioxidants that can benefit your health too.
Add Fresh Fruit or Veggies
Citrus fruits, like lemons, limes, and oranges are really refreshing in water. Cucumber and fresh mint are refreshing flavors also – great for a fresh summertime drink.
Add Flavor to Your Ice
Add fresh fruit, mint, or cucumber ice cubes. Simply chop your fruit or veggie of choice, add it to your ice cube tray along with water, then freeze. Or use straight juice.
Make it Bubbly
Lots of people prefer sparkling water. If you need a change from straight water, try a sparkling mineral water which will give you the added benefit of minerals. Bubbling seltzer or straight slightly flavored water like Talking Rain Pomegranate Lime are fun also – then add a splash of cranberry juice.
